Schools
At First Presbyterian, we are commited to the care and nurture of the children of Charlotte. Our schools provide education for children in the city where there are few childcare options.
Both our Weekday School and Child Development Center offer a place where children will receive a strong grounding in social, cognitive, and spiritual development. Within FPC Schools, you can expect your child to have a meaningful experience, feel loved, and be celebrated.
Weekday School
Our Weekday School provides half-day care nine months of the year. Kids are taught the unconditional love of God through interactions with teachers and staff who are welcoming, accepting, and encouraging.
We teach kids through a learn-through-play approach to learning where they’ll be introduced to a broad range of enrichment activities. Our classrooms are equipped with dramatic play, including blocks, art, books, science, and manipulative centers.
Child Development Center
The FPC Child Development Center provides year-round full day care. Our goal is for kids to experience God’s love through teachers who educate them in partnership with parents, church staff, and our congregation.
Along with our learn-through-play approach to learning, kids will receive daily outdoor play and active exercize along with a broad range of enrichment activities.
