Young Adult Ministry
Young Adults (those in their 20s and 30s) face a unique phase of transition and self-discovery. Many are seeking connection in a community of substance, one that is based on faith in Jesus Christ. First Presbyterian provides opportunities for examination and to engage with other people. We do so by providing programs, events, and a larger community that foster a sense of belonging and understanding. In a world that is often chaotic, FPC’s Young Adult Ministry seeks to welcome all who are looking for something different and sustaining.
To help with that, we provide opportunities to connect with each other and to a larger community where you can enjoy social activities, study, and service.

Below is a list of our current Bible studies and groups.
The Bible Class
Every Sunday | 9:45-10:45 am | P206
This fall, we will explore encounters with Jesus in Luke and Acts.
Each week, this class features a scripture-based lesson to enrich biblical understanding and a discussion to facilitate connection to the scripture and each other. Together, we hope to help make the Bible accessible and applicable to our daily lives. This class is designed for those in their early 20s to mid-40s, but all are welcome.
Young Adult Evening Study
Second and Fourth Tuesdays Monthly | 7 pm| Home of Kyle and Kourtney Christiansen
Held off-campus at the home of members, this group studies Scripture, theology, and issues related to a life of faith. This fall, we will study Paul’s letter to the Ephesians, taught by Rev. John Hart.
First Draughts of Faith
First Wednesday of the Month | 7 pm | Birdson Brewing
This is a time for open discussion address questions and ideas of faith, theology, navigating a complex world, and living as a follower of Jesus Christ.
Young Adults on Wednesdays
Third Wednesday of the Month | 7 pm | Various Locations
This is a fellowship opportunity for those in their early 20s to early 30s to explore restaurants, venues, and activities that Charlotte offers.
Young Adult Service Opportunities
second Saturday of the month
A chance to participate and support the mission partners of our church. Typically, we will volunteer with a local agency in the morning followed by lunch as a group.
