• Singing in the Season

    Wood Fellowship Hall

Join us for the 12th annual Singing in the Season— a performance and sing-along event featuring choirs, handbells, orchestra, fellowship, and cookies! This is a casual event for all ages, and all children are welcome. Tickets are free but required, as capacity is limited. Doors open at 5, so come early to socialize and enjoy cider and cookies! We need you to make this event a success! Please consider volunteering to bake cookies, help with cookie setup from 4:30-5 p.m., and/or package up leftover cookies after the event (6:30-6:45 p.m.). You will have the opportunity to sign up to volunteer when you register for the event. We also need volunteers to decorate the fellowship hall Christmas trees. Email Barb if you'd like to decorate a tree. Registration for this event opens on November 16.

When the season feels heavy, you are not alone. Find comfort and peace this Christmas season at our Service of Wholeness and Healing—a reflective candlelight service for all, especially those who find the holidays difficult or who are carrying grief. Join us in the Sanctuary for scripture, prayer, and music that remind us of God’s presence and hope, even in the shadows.

  • Nativity Play

    Wood Fellowship Hall

Children share the story of Christ's birth in their own joyful way. There will be no Sunday School so that everyone can join in celebrating this retelling of the Christmas story.

  • Service of Lessons and Carols

    Sanctuary

This classic Advent worship service tells the story of the birth of Jesus through a sequence of Scripture readings (“lessons”) interwoven with carols and choral music. This service is led by the Sanctuary Choir and an orchestra. There will be no Sunday School. A nursery is available for children ages birth through two years old in P311. First Church will be available and will feature a special Lessons and Carols in the Fellowship Hall. Children will leave their parents after the designated time in worship to join the First Church leaders, who will be waiting for them at the back of the sanctuary. Children will return to their families from the same location at the start of the last hymn.

  • Christmas Eve Children & Family Service

This 40-minute service is perfect for families with young children and will also be livestreamed for those joining from home.

  • Marriage Enrichment Retreat

    Wood Fellowship Hall

In this two-part retreat, we’ll look at common stressors in marriage and learn practical, grace-filled ways to respond that build resilience instead of resentment. This will be a judgment-free, “you don’t have to have it all together” space to be honest about both the joys and the hard parts of marriage, and to connect with other couples who get it. Our facilitator will be Dr. Tommy Bischoff, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. Saturday’s session will conclude with a simple “homework” assignment: a date just for the two of you. Childcare will be provided, as well as breakfast and two lunches. Registration will be $25 per person ($30 if childcare is needed). Registration will open January 1–February 7.  Retreat Schedule Saturday, Feb. 14 | 9:30 a.m.–3:00 p.m. – Main retreat sessions, breakfast and lunch included Sunday, Feb. 15 | 12:30–2:00 p.m. – Closing luncheon and debrief Cost & Registration $25 per person (includes meals) $30 per person with childcare Registration opens January 1 and closes February 7
