What I’m about to say may surprise people: I’m not from Charlotte. I was born in Brooklyn and raised in south Florida. I graduated from Florida State University (go ‘Noles!) in 1998 with a Master's Degree in Special Education.

My husband, Ryan, and I have been masquerading as Charlotteans since moving here in 2006. We have a blended family with two daughters. I've been at FPC since 2014.
