Sofia Di Dio

Sofia Di Dio brings a rich and diverse background in media, storytelling, and nonprofit leadership to her role at First Presbyterian Church. A Charlotte native, she returned home in 2020 after years living abroad in Italy and India, where she deepened her calling to creativity, spiritual growth, and service. She began her career in television news and later worked in commercial post-production on national campaigns—including Super Bowl ads—for some of the world’s top agencies. Eventually choosing a slower pace and more soulful path, she moved to the Amalfi Coast of Italy to reconnect with art and beauty. Sofia has since worked as a fine art and portrait photographer, creative consultant, and founder of The Sacred Seed, a nonprofit supporting women and children with special needs in India. Her project Klicks for Kids, which began as a fundraiser for Sacred Seed, continues as a biannual photo session offering meaningful portraits for Charlotte families. She also leads transformational women’s journeys to Italy through her business Transform Traveling, and is the author of the poetry collection In the Twinkling of Life: Poetry Secrets of Hope. A fluent Italian speaker and lifelong learner, Sofia is currently studying Spanish, piano, Argentine tango, and horseback riding. She finds joy in contemplative practice, vegetarian cooking, and hiking—and is grateful to serve among a spiritually grounded and creative team at First Presbyterian Church.
