Michael has a passion for non-profit leadership and helping organizations reach their full potential. He started his career at the YMCA, serving first as an aquatics director, then working his way up to CEO and executive director. Michael spent the last eight years as the director of finance and administration with the North Carolina Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), overseeing finances, endowments, constitutions, legal matters, and more. Michael is a member of the Church Network and a member of the Advisory Board of the St. John’s Child Development Center (Salisbury). Michael graduated from Old Dominion University, where he swam for the Monarchs all four years. Michael resides in Salisbury with his wife, Danielle, who is a pastor in the ELCA. They have two children: Moses and Olive. He enjoys watching sports, reading, and stand-up comedy.
