Maundy Thursday Tenebrae Service
Most of us know how the story ends, but we miss the journey.
The Maundy Thursday Tenebrae Service invites us to slow down and walk through the story before we celebrate the ending. The Last Supper shared between friends. The agony of a garden prayer. The weight of the cross. The darkness of the tomb. These aren’t detours on the way to Easter morning—they are the journey. And when you arrive at the Resurrection having traveled that journey, it will mean something it never has before.
This Maundy Thursday service remembers the final hours of Jesus’ life through Scripture, prayer, music, and the gradual dimming of light. Don’t simply skip to the ending. The whole story is worth it.
