Mental Healthcare in Uptown
First Presbyterian’s Opening Doors Capital Campaign identified mental health as an outreach priority after Charlotte’s Opportunity Task Force included access to mental healthcare as a major factor in socioeconomic mobility and flourishing. FPC recognized barriers to quality, accessible mental health counseling within the uptown community (cost, location) and set out to partner with excellent therapists to provide care in the area.

First Presbyterian Church is glad to have therapists from Presby Psych practicing in our on-site Counseling Center. Presby Psych is committed to:
Increasing Access
As a non-profit counseling center, we are committed to increasing access and giving back to both the individuals and communities we serve by providing inclusive and affordable mental health care services. We do this through accepting many private insurances, offering sliding scale fees, as well as financially-assisted and pro bono services to qualifying individuals, couples, and families via community partnership programs.
Delivering Trauma-informed Care
Presby Psych is committed to delivering high-quality, trauma-informed care to its clients through its team of interdisciplinary staff who are devoted to ongoing professional growth and development.
