Anita Bennett

Weekday School Assistant Director

About

I first came to First Presbyterian as a Weekday School Teacher in 2016 after leaving the Corporate world behind. In May 2020, I took the position of Assistant Director and Treasurer and joined the First Presbyterian Church staff. I have a B.A. in Sociology with a concentration in Elementary Education from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I moved to Charlotte in 1995 after graduating from UNC where I met my husband, Brandt, a fellow Tar Heel and a native Charlottean. Before coming on board at First Pres, I worked as a Project Manager supporting International and Domestic Commercial Real Estate Banking for 20 years. Brandt and I have a son, Wes, who is a Senior at Charlotte Catholic High School. We are still processing that he is soon off to college and that we are about to be empty nesters. Our family loves to travel, watch sports, and spend time with family and friends. I enjoy cooking, running, entertaining, and spoiling my family and friends. In my spare time I love watching HGTV and of course cheering on my Tar Heels.

From Season to Season

Each October, First Presbyterian holds its annual giving campaign, inviting members to make a financial pledge for the year ahead. These commitments support our mission and ministry and help the church plan its budget with confidence.

Have you made your 2027 pledge yet? Click below to pledge online, or email communications@firstpres-charlotte.org to request a pledge packet.
