How To Make A Large Church Feel Like “Home”

Our fellowship opportunities brings you together with those of similar age and interests through smaller groups. They provide you a variety of opportunities to get to know fellow church members. Opportunities range from annual all-church events, to small monthly social gatherings, to regular small groups to help connect you with others who are the same age and or have similar interests.

By participating in fellowship groups, the fabric of our community is strengthened, friendships are forged, and life is shared.

Fellowship Opportunities

We gather together as a family in Christ to get to know each other, to become friends, and to enjoy each other’s company. From small group gatherings to all-church events, fellowship is an important part of our church.

Fellowship Feasts

These small fellowship groups allow members to get to know one another across all ages and stages through regular fellowship gatherings. Whether it be over a potluck at someone’s home or a picnic in the park, these groups gather regularly on their own schedule to uphold one another in faith and fun. New groups will be started throughout the year.

First Fruits

These monthly fellowship opportunities are no-reservation drop in gatherings over wine. Normally on the first Thursday of each month, gathering may take place in a local wine bar or at someone’s home.

Luncheon on the Lawn

At least twice a year First Presbyterian Church offers opportunity for the entire congregation to gather on the front lawn after worship for lunch. These may include potlucks or catered lunches. This is a time for fellowship and fun for members of all ages.

First Fellowship

The fellowship committee will regularly host other fellowship opportunities that might include speakers on interesting local or educational topics, pop-up fellowship opportunities for ice cream, BYOB lunch on the lawn with games, etc. Stay tuned for announcements on these fun events!

Senior Adults

Our senior adult ministry brings together church members 60 and older who are interested in social, supportive, educational, travel, and intergenerational opportunities, including a Christmas social, occasional classes and speakers, and intergenerational events.
