DESCRIPTION:Pack your comfy clothes\, your hiking shoes\, and your favorite mug—we’re heading back to the mountains! Join the women of First Presbyterian Church for a weekend of rest\, laughter\, and renewal at beautiful Montreat Conference Center\, May 1–3\, 2026. Hosted by Presbyterian Women\, this retreat is a chance to step away from your everyday routine and make space for God\, yourself\, and one another. \nWe’re especially excited to welcome back The Rev. Christopher Edmonston\, a former FPC associate pastor. Christopher is a gifted preacher\, teacher\, and retreat leader—and a dear friend to many at First Presbyterian. He’ll guide us through meaningful times of study and conversation as we grow together in faith. \nIn between sessions\, you’ll have plenty of time to wander the Black Mountain shops\, join a hike\, read by the lake\, or simply sit and visit with friends. New this year\, Friday and Saturday dinners will be catered by Red Radish and Ole Guacamole\, so all you have to do is show up and enjoy. \nChoose what works best for you: \n\n\nDouble room: $230 per person \n\n\nSingle room: $355 \n\n\n(Cost includes lodging\, meals\, program\, and fees.) \nRegistration opens January 8 and closes January 30. Space is limited\, and a waitlist will be created once all rooms are filled. \nWe never want cost to be the reason someone doesn’t come. Financial support is available—contact Rev. The evening begins with drinks in the courtyard\, followed by a festive dinner and program in Wood Fellowship Hall. The night will include remarks from our moderator\, the installation of new officers\, and the presentation of Honorary Life Memberships—a special honor given to women who have made a deep and lasting impact on our church.\n\n\n\nThis year’s meal will be a salad bar with lemon garlic chicken\, Mediterranean-style salmon\, shrimp pasta\, roasted veggies\, fruit salad\, hummus with pita bread\, croutons\, cheese\, and homemade dressings. SUMMARY:Grands Camp
DESCRIPTION:Is there anything better than making memories with the grandkids? Grands Camp is a three-morning event designed to bring grandparents and grandchildren together to share stories\, creativity\, and the love of God. Structured like an all-ages Vacation Bible School\, each morning is filled with Bible stories\, art projects\, music\, service activities\, snacks\, and plenty of space to play. Activities are thoughtfully designed to engage every learner\, from Pre-K through 5th grade. \nThe cost is $25 per family. We suggest no more than two children per adult\, and “grandparent” is a broad and welcoming term here. Any loving adult bringing kids along is exactly who we had in mind! \nChildren must be at least 3 years old to participate.
